Safir: Low-cost Spatial Sound for Instrumented Environments

چکیده
We present a high-level Java API that allows developers of pervasive computing environments to integrate 2D or 3D spatial sound over loudspeakers into systems without any DSP knowledge. The system is platformindependent and allows most arbitrary speaker configurations, thereby providing a scalable tool for real-time spatialization with low-cost off-the-shelf hardware.
